“Bike Like A New Yorker” - This appeal to a collective, healthy identity is spot on!  Creating new norms around active transport is a good way to motivate behavior change.  We’re more likely to hop on our bikes if we perceive that our neighbours are doing it, too.  This ad communicates the message that New Yorkers care about their health, the environment, and… traffic!
